I still prefer the existing navigation. It looks more like an admin panel UI to me. And, it is easy to use. Maybe they should just change some of the labels and also the structure.
ThemeForest Launch! Finally, after 1 month of beta invite and testing. Another greate site by Envato is launched. Before this, there are FlashDen, AudioJungle and now, ThemeForest. From the site name, you can guess the content would be Templates.

Good News For Theme Developers

I am very excited about the launching. It is because I think it is a good place for web designer, wordpress theme developer, Joomla and etc. Developers can register to become an author. They can sell their design too. You will no longer worry about the marketing for your design work. What you need to do is only put 100% effort in creating high quality template and upload.

Payment Rate

Author will take 25% of the sales while TF (ThemeForest) will take 75% of it. You may think that it is a big cut. Even I also feel like that is too much! However, after I read a bout their explanation and I rethink according to my experiences running this site. Initially, I also want to sell WordPress Themes here. However, it is too much for me to handle effective marketing and creative work at the same time. So, I decided to give this a try.

You can also read more details here about the Rates and Percentages.

My Themes!

I already uploaded 2 WordPress Themes and one Joomla Template. There is a unique design personal blog theme and another is the most wanted Premium Community Type WordPress Theme. Both with their own custom admin panel.

Our Community

CatEatFish

MyCloudyDay

My first ever joomla Template.

<a href="http://themetation.com/demo/mycloudyday/" target="_blank" title=MyCloudDay" class="demo">Demo Buy Now

Premium Theme Requirements

My Premium Themes requirements are simple. There MUST inlcuded:

An Editable PSD file.

A Custom Admin Panel.

For Theme Users

I don’t think developers will be happy if their works aren’t getting good respond. So, they will also put more effort in creating high quality works to compete each others. So, this can a good news to all the themes users too. Good competition always produce better works. Further, the price is not as low as $10 – $75 only.

Getting Invloved

Themetation Achievement

Something to share with you if you still don’t notice. One of our free WordPress Theme was being featured in smahsingmagazine! Even thought it is only one among the best of 30, but I still think that it is some kind of achievement for Themetation or to me myself.

Missing Step In Part 2

I notice that most of you do not understand the steps I explained in the part 2 about the layout slicing. I am currently trying to make it into a video tutorial. I never try this before. So, I hope that it can produce some good result. As you know, my English writing is already not good. So, I don’t think I am able to do the narration for the video. Sorry about that.

Next Free Theme

For the next free theme, it is on the way. Pleas forgive me for the delay of update here. It is kind of tired to handle too many stuff with only 2 hands. However, I will still try to give the best to you.

Themetation Forum

This forum is for you to share, help and discuss whatever related to WordPress.

About free theme support, sometimes I may not able to respond to you. But I’ve set up the forum and i notice that some of the members there don’t mind to answer your question. If you still not a member yet, you can register now.

Themetation Direction

Personally, I don’t think I will follow what people did to post the latest free wordpress themes, latest wordpress plugins and etc. I think you can get those info easily out there. I will only provide original tips and tricks, guides in using WordPress, High Quality WordPress Themes and others.

If you have any questions or suggestions, do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks!
